I completely agree with this statement when the "we" is correctly used as referring to the writers of the article and the GB. All JWs and us "apostates" (perhaps with few exceptions) appreciate when the GB and their Hamburger Helpers "refrain from wearing clothes that are so tight or so loose that they are revealing" on JW broadcasts.
In fact, the picture would look even better if these guys were also wearing heavy coats and burqa hoods.
Since attractive, fit JWs are not the authors of the article, and thus not really the "we" in the above statement, wouldn't it glorify god to let his creative wonders be on full display?

The actual ending was that the dfd daughter was trying to call her parents to warn them that paramilitary teams were attacking JWs and that they needed to hide in their bunker. Her JW parents refused to answer her call. Minutes later they were slaughtered where they stood in their home.
Fortunately, the dfd daughter survived to see that the attack wasn't armageddon, it was just a violent end to another cult.
i was reading in another forum, that a letter to the elders instructed them to speak to anybody who persists in wearing tight pants.
if changes don't happen then the instructions are to disqualify him from being a publisher but it won't be announced to the congregation.

You can hear people outside looking specifically for JW's. Bunker brothers taking comfort in scriptures. Patting themselves on the back for having listened and staying loyal. Reflecting on all the different ways they stayed loyal (what they showed in the previous videos). Authorities finally break into their bunker in the end and close in on them as they gather together and stand firm, ready for whatever awaits them.
That whole scenario is so 1970s. Now the "authorities" wouldn't have to be "outside looking" for JWs, they could easily track them down through the JW.borg Internetwork. And they wouldn't "break into their bunker", they could blow them all away with drones.
so here an update on my current situation, in a nutshell i've been trying to quietly fade for the past 5 months.. well, my mom somehow found out that i am currently fading and that i live with my boyfriend (for more info on this check my previous posts) i told her yes i live with him and yes i no longer want to be a jw.
anyways, yesterday she met my boyfriend.. awkward.
and after lunch she pulled me aside to tell me that the po came up to her (he was part of my jc when i was reproved) he said to her "someone came to me and said - i cannot say who so they will remain anonymous- but that your daughter is living with someone" my mom confirmed and apparently he told her that i have one week to confess this, and if i don't my parents are obligated to tell them everything.. what kind of nonsense is that?
So the "sheep" has moved 100 miles and it's been 5 months without any contact with these "shepherds"? Now they're playing the master based on your living situation?
As a fader, it is a challenge to get on with life and live the way we want.

my mom is only in her mid 60s so i'm quite sure this is not an issue of mental illness.. the only illness she's suffering from is boredom since she's refused to work for years now.
Teacup, hasn't your mother been paying attention at the meetings, looking at the pictures, and watching the videos (well, I'm thinking of the one coming out at the RC)? JWs are soon to have to start hiding in basements and fear for their lives! If all the neighbors know that she's a JW, they'll head straight over with torches and pitchforks to murder you both and burn the house down with her cart and WT litteratrash inside! Supposedly, Jerkhovah will only protect the organization, he will NOT protect individuals who face the consequences of their own foolish actions after they've been warned of the dangers facing dubs... very soon now.
If she feels the need to preach, she needs to be much more cautious and preach where people won't recognize her and follow her home to kill her during the tribulation. Or doesn't she believe that armageddon is coming and JWs will face attack by Satan and the worldlings?
